Dual Registered Manager - Children's Homes (EBD / Trauma-Informed)
Location: Haverhill, CB9
Salary: £60,000 base + up to £15,600 in bonuses
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Annual Leave: 32 days (including bank holidays), increasing annually for the first 3 years
On-Call: Included in salary and shared across leadership team (minimal)
About the Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a Dual Registered Manager position, leading two 4-bed children's homes in Haverhill - one brand new, the other already registered and preparing for its first Ofsted visit. Both services support young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and operate with a trauma-informed, child-centred approach.
As Dual Registered Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding positive cultures, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional care across both homes. You'll have the opportunity to shape a new service from scratch, while also taking an established team into its next chapter.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage two 4-bed homes, overseeing all aspects of care, compliance, and staff performance
* Drive a culture of safety, stability, and emotional support for children with complex trauma and EBD
* Ensure both homes meet or exceed regulatory standards, especially with Ofsted inspections approaching
* Oversee referrals, placements, safeguarding, audits, and quality assurance
* Inspire, develop, and support two dedicated staff teams, ensuring high standards of supervision and training
* Work closely with Deputy Managers to delegate and share responsibilities effectively
* Represent the organisation professionally with external partners, commissioners, and families
* Take responsibility for budgets, occupancy, rota planning, and overall home performance
What You'll Need
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent (or be working towards it)
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in residential children's care, including staff supervision and management
* Strong working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and Ofsted inspection frameworks
* The ability to lead by example, create strong team dynamics, and maintain a calm, consistent presence
* Confidence in handling multi-site management, particularly during periods of registration or inspection
* A full UK driving licence
Bonuses & Benefits
* Up to £6,000 in Ofsted bonuses:
* £3,000 per home for Outstanding'
* £1,500 per home for Good'
* Occupancy Bonus: £400/month per home (up to £800/month when both are full)
* Company Car or £3,000 travel allowance
* 32 days' holiday (including bank holidays), rising annually for the first 3 years
* On-call duties shared and minimal
