* Location: Sheffield (This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office)
The main purpose of this role is to project manage from inception to completion, and to the agreed standards of time, quality, cost and safety, projects and workstreams that form part of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority’s Big Clean initiative.
This initiative is a Mayoral Manifesto Commitment to use the money confiscated from criminals and community payback schemes to undertake a Big Clean across South Yorkshire, tackling graffiti, littering and fly‑tipping across our most loved public spaces, to ensure people feel safe and those places thrive.
About the role
The Project Manager plays a key role in delivering the Big Clean programme, overseeing multiple projects and workstreams designed to tackle graffiti, littering and fly‑tipping across South Yorkshire.
You will:
* Manage the full lifecycle of each project, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required standards of quality, safety and governance.
* Work collaboratively with partners including Local Authorities, the Probation Service, Police, community groups and internal teams.
* Ensure successful delivery, robust reporting, effective problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee consultation processes, communications activity, data analysis, financial monitoring and independent evaluation of the initiative.
* Support policy development, tender processes and funding bids.
You will be part of a collaborative team that works with Local Authorities, South Yorkshire Police, Community Safety Partnerships, Youth Justice Services and the voluntary sector to deliver a whole system approach to support services.

You will be a confident, organised and motivated professional with a strong track record in project management and stakeholder engagement. You can balance multiple priorities, communicate clearly with a range of audiences, and navigate complex issues with sound judgement. You will be comfortable working proactively, solving problems, organising resources and ensuring governance requirements are met.
