We are seeking a graduate to join our Reserving department as Graduate Reserving Analyst. We are looking for a graduate who has the enthusiasm and ability to work in a dynamic environment and are interested in developing their skills to become independent problem solvers in their chosen future career. You will be supported in starting to understand the reserving process, to develop any programming languages skills and to use statistics and actuarial concepts in a supportive and innovative environment working alongside experienced Actuaries.

This is a great opportunity for a graduate looking to become a qualified actuary, which will be fully supported and funded by SBG.

The Graduate Programme

Alongside the day job, you’ll be enrolled onto our Graduate Programme which is an annual scheme designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our business. Throughout the year, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time with teams from various areas of the business, with the chance to reflect on each month with key learnings and takeaways. By the end of the programme, you should have an in-depth understanding of how we operate and a comprehensive ‘big picture’ view of our organisation.

Throughout your graduate journey, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance both your technical and personal skills. We provide tailored support to allow you to develop the experience needed to become a well‑rounded Reserving Analyst, receiving on-the-job training and mentoring.

Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in impactful projects outside of your primary role, such as supporting local community initiatives or participating in our DEI working group. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and respectful culture, and your unique perspectives and individuality would bring a valuable contribution.
