Connex Education is currently seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and adaptable teaching assistants who have experience supporting children in primary schools. Experience supporting children with special educational needs is highly desirable for this supply role.

Connex Education have been supplying teaching assistants to primary schools in Southport for over 10 years. We work in partnership with primary schools in the following areas:
1. Ainsdale
2. Birkdale
3. Southport (centre)
4. Churchtown
About the roles:
With the surge in demand for teaching assistants in Southport, Connex Education are currently recruiting full-time and part-time teaching assistants.
The following are the type of bookings that could be available for you:
5. Full-time general classroom support in EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
6. Split roles – cover in different year groups throughout the day.
7. Long-term 1:1 support for children with special educational needs.
8. Temp-to-perm roles – transition onto school contracts when schools request notice for staff.
9. Part-time bookings – day-to-day cover for full days and half-days.

Qualifications and requirements:
17. Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable.
18. Experience supporting children in primary schools is essential.
19. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
20. The ability to adapt to different learning needs.
21. It is essential that you have a DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain a new one through Connex.
