We have an active brachytherapy service, treating a variety of sites using our Nucletron remote after-loading brachytherapy unit. The department has six Elekta linacs (three Versa HD, three Synergy with Agility MLC - all equipped with FFF technology) and will soon install a new superficial/deep X-ray set. Pre–treatment imaging consists of two Siemens wide bore CT scanners with associated ProSoma virtual simulation software. Treatment plans are produced using Raystation and Monaco.
The department prides itself on delivering state-of the-art treatment techniques to our patient population and research and development is actively encouraged.
