Overview Head of Integrated Capital Delivery at Northern Ireland Water. On behalf of NI Water, MCS Group is exclusively retained to recruit for this position.

About this prestigious role:
The Head of Integrated Capital Delivery works within the Infrastructure Delivery leadership team, partnering with the Director and senior colleagues to drive service improvements aligned with the NI Water Business Plan. Responsible for the successful delivery of the annual asset-related capital investment programme, typically valued at £250M-£300M per year, ensuring that strategic investment objectives are met and high standards of performance and value are achieved across all capital projects. Responsibilities • Lead the delivery of NI Water's capital investment programme, ensuring alignment with the Business Plan and achieving value for money across projects.
• Drive service improvements within the Infrastructure Delivery leadership team in partnership with the Director and senior colleagues.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management and performance reporting for major capital projects.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with procurement, finance, safety, health and environment, and external suppliers/contractors.
Essential Criteria Hold a degree-level qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or Business Management, with either:
— a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior management role within a utility organisation or in the construction sector; or
— a minimum of 8 years' experience in a senior management role within a utility organisation or in the construction sector.
*Defined as a senior management role reporting into a Director, Board or Chief Executive
Demonstrable senior management experience in: Procurement, supplier management and programme management delivering for major capital programmes
Budgetary management, financial control and delivery for major capital investment programmes
Leading, developing and performance managing a team

A successful record of achievement in leading a capital/change programme delivering business benefits
Knowledge of NEC Conditions of Contract, public sector procurement rules and guidelines and the Procurement Act/Utilities Contracts Regulations
Knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment requirements within the utility or construction industry
Excellent oral and written communication, supported by strong analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to foster collaborative working relationships at senior manager and director level, internally and with suppliers/contractors
Desirable Criteria Chartered member of a relevant professional body
Experience managing a capital works programme comparable in scale and complexity to NI Water's Capital Works Programme
Experience communicating with government and regulatory stakeholders
