About the Company - At Bakkafrost Scotland we breed, rear and process superior salmon in the pristine waters of the West Highlands and Islands.
About the Role - As a mobile Marine Engineering Technician you will work as directed by the Engineering Manager, across our Marine Sites. You will ensure the highest standards of maintenance of all our shore based and marine assets. You should be familiar with the maintenance of both petrol and diesel engines and Marine vessels. Basic fabrication skills would also be preferable
Responsibilities -
* Adhere to company policies
* Perform all duties in a safe manner
* Carry out and prioritise works via our CMMS system.
* Record all tasks and parts/material usage on our CMMS system
* Work of own initiative
* Participate in weekly tool box talks
* Liaise with and support outside contractors.
* Strong team player
* Performs well under pressure
* Have a flexible approach to work hours
* Participate in on call rota when required
Qualifications -
* Qualified Engineer/Technician – Marine/ Mobile Plant/Automotive or similar discipline.
* Sound understanding in the importance of health and safety.
* Familiar with maintenance of both petrol and diesel engines.
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
* Familiar with 12/24v electrical systems.
* Familiar with the maintenance of small to medium sized vessels.
* Familiar with a range of ancillary plant such as material handlers, generators, compressors and pumps.
* IT proficient, knowledge of Excel and Word.
Pay range and compensation package - Up to £47,000
