What you’ll do? · Prepare and check aseptic products to ensure patient safety. · Contribute to the smooth running of our technical services, maintaining compliance with GMP standards. · Play a key role in delivering life-saving treatments to our patients at WHH. What we’re looking for: · A person with a keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality standards. · Enthusiasm for learning and working in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. Advert 1. Dispense and manufacture parenteral medication including cytotoxic preparations and clinical trial material, using highly specialist skills and techniques and specialist equipment, ensuring validation tests are always current. 2. Issue and dispense final products to customers creating advice notes, dispatching orders to wards and liaising with them as required using tact and persuasive skills. 3. Supervise and train student technicians, pre-registration pharmacists, rotational pharmacists, support workers and new staff to the aseptic unit, in consultation with the Senior staff. 4.Complete and review worksheets and labels prior to preparation of intravenous doses including cytotoxic medication, total parental nutrition and neonatal medication, performing complex calculations, to check the volumes of medicine as required Working for our organisation Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a caring and compassionate organisation that is both ambitious and innovative. Detailed job description and main responsibilities What will you be responsible for? · Work in a sterile clean room environment and carry out highly complex aseptic manipulations involving repetitive movements with a high degree of accuracy in accordance with the training programme and standard operating procedures (SOPs). · Working in accordance to current Good manufacturing Practices WHH hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met.
