Principal / Associate Civil Engineer Manchester Salary: £55,000 £65,000 (DOE) Benefits: Package worth around £4,000 Location: Manchester Were expanding our team in our brand-new Manchester office and were looking for an experienced Principal / Associate Civil Engineer ready to make their mark. As part of a growing and ambitious team, youll have the opportunity to lead exciting multi-disciplinary projects, shape the regional presence of a forward-thinking consultancy, and take on real responsibility from day one. What Youll Be Doing Take technical ownership for drawings, calculations, reports, and design documentation Coordinate and review work produced by others across multiple disciplines Use and support others in design/analysis software such as Civil 3D and CAD Analyse technical problems and develop innovative engineering solutions Apply knowledge of relevant design guides, standards, and CDM 2015 responsibilities Follow and contribute to company quality procedures and best practices Identify and manage project risks within your area of responsibility Support and mentor junior team members in their technical development Attend site visits to assess constraints and review construction progress Lead and manage project delivery, liaising directly with clients and third parties Present and discuss technical solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Manage internal project resources, planning, and financial control Identify and respond to commercial risks and opportunities Prepare fee proposals and project cost estimates Build and maintain strong client relationships Contribute to business development and help grow the Manchester team Invest in your own professional and technical development What Were Looking For Recent consultancy experience in the North West Masters degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering Chartered or close to chartered status with ICE or IStructE What Youll Bring Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for engineering Proactive approach to solving technical challenges Drive and ambition to help grow a developing regional office Clear and open communication with colleagues, clients, and third parties Strong organisational skills and pride in delivering high-quality work on time Collaborative mindset within a hardworking, supportive team environment
