Secondary Teaching Assistant
We are specifically working with a secondary academy in St Helens who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding Teaching Assistant, for a long-term position to join their school/SEN team.
This particular role is to support the needs of students within the general mainstream school setting, with SEN, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quite quickly or 1:1 support in and outside of the classroom.
You must be comfortable with managing behaviour, have knowledge of the curriculum and EBD/SEMH. To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour to build positive relationships that contribute to a conducive learning environment.

7. Minimum rate of pay – £70 per day
8. Hours – 8:30 am –
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
9. Degree educated with a good classification
10. Teaching assistant qualification
11. SEN specialism qualifications
12. Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
13. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
14. Up to date Prevent training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
15. Hold Right to Work in the UK
16. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
17. Provide two professional child related references
