Job Description
We are working with an excellent client, who is currently looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their team.
As the Credit Controller you will be responsible for managing a company’s credit and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. The role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, setting credit limits, monitoring accounts receivable, and following up on overdue payments to maintain healthy cash flow for the organization.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely payment of invoices.
* Chase overdue payments via phone, email, or written communication.
* Assess customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
* Maintain accurate records of accounts and payment activity.
* Resolve invoice queries and reconcile customer accounts.
* Prepare reports on outstanding debts and collection performance.
Skills and requirements:
* At least 1-year recent experience in credit control / accounts receivable
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Familiarity with accounting systems and financial reporting
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
What's on offer:
* Annual salary circa £26 000 - £28 000 (DOE)
