Work with a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making underpinned by a master’s level award that encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research, with demonstration of core capabilities and area specific clinical competence. The ANP will be a member of the multi-disciplinary SACT team. Act as a resource and role model for the profession at all times. The ANP will be responsible for assessment, formulation and prescribing of care planning including admission within agreed protocols/care pathways. The post holder will be recognised as an expert practitioner in SACT and will advise and support the SACT team on expert, safe and effective models of care and treatment. The post holder will effectively be require to work across the range of SACT as determined by service user need and service delivery model and contribute with the assessment and management of complex clinical presentations. Main duties of the job Provide senior nurse leadership within the Clinical Team, contributing towards the assessment, treatment and evaluation of evidence base/care. Provide expert advice to other clinical staff, allied health professionals and external agencies on the assessment, treatment and evaluation of evidence based care oncology patients. Contribute to providing strategic consideration of service delivery with senior colleagues. Provide clinical leadership to Registered Nurses & Health Care Support Workers. Assess patients physical and psychological needs in order to inform their care and treatment planning. Undertake physical examinations and using autonomous decision making skills for management plan.
