Overview
Lawrie Veterinary Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team. This role will be based across all four sites—in Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Laurieston, and our newly opened clinic in Bo’ness. We offer a wide range of services to small animals, with a varied and stimulating caseload of both first opinion and referral cases. Our team also has a particular interest in exotic species, making this an exciting opportunity for those looking to broaden their experience in this area.
You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team within a well-established, multi-site practice that prides itself on high standards of patient and client care. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of clinical work—from preventative care and diagnostics to surgery and emergency treatment—alongside ongoing opportunities for professional development. We value strong communication skills, a team-focused attitude, and a genuine passion for small animal practice. Previous experience with exotics is a bonus, but not essential.
Work pattern and hours
* Full-time rota for this position will include working 40 hours over 4 days per week; part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
* Typically, you will be working two operating shifts and two consulting shifts per week.
* Weekends are on a rota basis; we cover our own inpatients during evenings and weekends.
* There is no out of hours or on-call requirement.
