The role:
Our client is an independent letting agent. They are looking for an enthusiastic Lettings Negotiator to join their small team based at our office located in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a career in the fast-paced property industry.
The role of Lettings Negotiator can be a demanding but rewarding role. Working in a lettings team, you will be expected to process high volumes of tenancies a year and in return can expect a competitive salary dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Drawing up tenancy agreements
2. Signing tenants up and arranging payments
3. Liaising with existing and new tenants
4. Liaising with existing and new landlords
5. Acting in a timely manner for all lease renewals, vacations etc.
6. Answering the telephone, sending and replying to emails
7. Dealing with general enquires
8. Booking viewings with potential tenants and updating marketing materials and websites
9. Chasing feedback on viewings from potential tenants
10. Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
11. Well presented, articulate with excellent communication skills
12. Hard working “can do” attitude.
13. You may also be required to cover out of office appointments such as viewings for prospective tenants and routine property inspections
The successful candidate:
14. Experience in the property industry would be highly advantageous, but not essential
15. Ideally at least one year’s experience in a similar customer service role
16. Able to work to tight deadlines and in a busy environment
17. Confident drawing up tenancy agreements and other legal documents and seeing them through to completion
18. Full training and support will be provided and you will be required to undertake the ARLA Qualification if you have not already
