About the Role The Learning Support Assistant will provide essential support to pupils across the school, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals. Working closely with teachers and SEN staff, you will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, support classroom activities, and contribute to maintaining a calm and inclusive learning environment. Your role will directly impact pupils’ engagement, progress, and overall school experience. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupil needs. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development. Help implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and track progress. Assist with personal care needs where required, maintaining dignity and sensitivity. Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and engagement. Qualifications and Skills Experience supporting children with SEN or additional learning needs. Understanding of child development, behaviour management, and communication strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff. Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils. Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete all relevant safer recruitment checks.
