Job Summary
Join the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) as an MRI & Ultrasound Physicist. UHNM is a leading teaching hospital working with Keele University and serving three million people across Staffordshire and Shropshire.
Location
Royal Stoke University Hospital, Newcastle Road, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 6QG.
Responsibilities
* Provide scientific and technical support to UHNM and partner trusts in MRI and ultrasound physics.
* Deliver clinical services and maintain imaging protocols within the hospital and community sites.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care and research initiatives.
Qualifications
* State‑registered Clinical Scientist (HCPC) in Imaging with Non‑Ionising Radiation (MRI & Ultrasound) specialty.
* Honours Degree 1st or 2.1 in physics or a closely relevant physical science.
* Relevant postgraduate MSc in medical physics.
* Completion of specialist Healthcare Scientist Training Programme (STP) in Imaging with Non‑Ionising Radiation (MRI & Ultrasound) physics.
* Minimum of 3 years hospital‑based medical physics experience in MRI and ultrasound physics.
Desirable
* 1st class honours physics degree.
* PhD in a medical science discipline.
Benefits & Pay
Band 7 salary £47,810 to £54,710 per annum. Permanent, Full‑time contract. Working pattern: Full‑time. Reference number: 205-7648248.
