Environmental & Sustainability - Asset Graduate Scheme
Join the Environmental & Sustainability - Asset Graduate Scheme at National Gas. This 18-month fixed-term graduate programme offers three 6-month placements across the Asset business function, within the Policy, Engineering, Maintenance and Environment (PEME) team. You’ll work on environmental assessments for major projects, regulatory compliance, on-site emissions surveys, internal audits, regulatory engagement, and environmental reporting.
As a graduate, you’ll contribute to analysing the business carbon footprint and driving decarbonisation initiatives, with exposure to climate adaptation and resilience strategies.

You’ll need strong analytical skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to evolving environmental risks and regulatory changes. What You’ll Need
You’ll need a degree in a relevant area such as:
* Environmental Science
* Geography or related science
* Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Technical, Instrumental or Corrosion)
* Other STEM subjects

The Essentials
This is an 18-month fixed-term graduate programme. You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration. We do not sponsor UK work permits for this graduate scheme. Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required; a driving licence is beneficial but not essential. Some roles may require security clearance or are affected by nationality or residency rules. The 'Nice To Knows'
Hybrid working: time split between the Warwick Head Office and remote work. In-person induction is planned for early September 2026. The Early Careers team will support you throughout the application process.
