We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work within a leading Accountancy Practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients within a modern, progressive practice. Key Responsibilities for Senior Accountant
* Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, acting as a primary point of contact
* Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
* Oversee preparation and submission of corporation tax returns, self-assessment returns, and VAT returns
* Review bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by junior staff
* Provide proactive advice on tax planning, business structure, and financial performance
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Train, mentor, and supervise junior team members
* Support process improvements and adoption of new systems and technologies
* Assist with onboarding new clients and contributing to practice development
* Work closely with partners to support strategic initiatives and client growth plans
Skills and Experience Required
* ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or QBE with strong practice background)
* Significant experience within an accountancy practice environment
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and relevant tax legislation
* Proficiency with cloud-based xsngvjr systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and digital workflow tools
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Experience supervising or developing junior staff
