As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the company’s Information Technology infrastructure, including servers, backups, and associated services. The role involves setting the technical strategy for equipment, managing technical improvements, budget, and security controls. You will maintain technology service levels by overseeing updates, security, and leading a team of technical specialists.

What your typical day looks like:
1. Maintain and support all IT infrastructure assets, including servers, storage, and network components.
2. Manage vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring accountability and detailed records of service deliverables for projects and BAU operations.
3. Monitor IT performance and capacity, providing regular reports.
4. Resolve infrastructure faults and outages promptly, acting as the first escalation point beyond the Service Desk.
5. Ensure backups of all infrastructure assets through appropriate controls and procedures.
6. Act as the primary escalation point for IT infrastructure issues.
7. Collaborate with the Head of Cyber Security & IT Project Manager to ensure infrastructure assets have appropriate threat mitigation and intrusion detection controls, managing risks and project deliverables.
8. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to coach team members, reinforce leadership values, and support their development.
9. Manage the Infrastructure Support Team and support other IT Managers.
10. Lead the 3rd line incident out-of-hours on-call service alongside the Technical Services Manager.
To be a successful IT Infrastructure Manager, you’ll need:
* Extensive experience in a complex IT environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of servers, storage, and Active Directory.
* Experience planning and implementing complex technical changes in critical infrastructure environments.
* Ability to translate strategy into operational plans for IT, telecommunications, and network solutions.
* Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
* MCSE or similar qualification/experience.
* Leadership skills to motivate and influence others.
* Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
* Independent working skills, managing and supporting others.
* Ability to handle conflicting priorities in support environments.
* Commitment to achieving quality standards.
