This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with growth plans in place. My client is looking to recruit a Production Shift Manager. The role is well suited to a Shift Manager with experience managing teams of production operators, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a strong health and safety focus. Operating across various manufacturing sectors, this role offers a chance to join a secure business expanding into new markets.
Role and Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate all production activities on the assigned shift.
* Ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production workers.
* Manage shift staffing levels, including planning for absences and overtime.
* Ensure all safety procedures are followed and maintain a safe working environment.
* Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
* Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive initiatives to improve performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Experience in production shift management.
* Experience within FMCG or plastics industry is beneficial.
* Proven ability to manage teams of production staff.
* Strong health and safety focus.
* Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
