This full-time position is seeking a qualified school psychologist to support an elementary school serving approximately 330 students in grades K-5. The role is contracted for the 2025/2026 school year, with a focus on providing comprehensive psychological services within a single school location. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, aligning with the academic calendar from August 20 to June 5.
Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments to identify students cognitive, social, and emotional needs, collaborating with teachers and staff to develop intervention plans, and offering counseling or crisis intervention when necessary. The school psychologist will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective delivery of special education services and support the overall well-being and academic success of students.
Desired qualifications and experience:
* Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist
* Experience working with elementary-aged children (K-5)
* Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
* Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and students
* Ability to manage a caseload efficiently in a fast-paced school environment
