We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team at American Flatbread Brighton. If you’re passionate about great food, enjoy working with local ingredients, and have a talent for developing strong teams, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
Food Production
1. Oversee daily food prep and kitchen operations
2. Prepare and ensure consistency with our core food items
3. Manage quality and execution during all services
Sanitation & Safety
4. Maintain high sanitation standards in the kitchen and storage areas
5. Ensure all food is properly stored and rotated
6. Set and maintain a clean, professional appearance for all kitchen staff
Staff Leadership
7. Hire, train, and develop kitchen team members
8. Use American Flatbread’s training program and performance tools
9. Provide regular feedback and support through daily communication
10. Foster a collaborative and respectful relationship between the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Local & Organic Sourcing
11. Build relationships with local farmers and vendors
12. Coordinate seasonal buying through farmers’ markets and local suppliers
13. Support our commitment to sustainable sourcing
Administrative Tasks
14. Manage food orders, inventory, and cost controls
15. Complete cleaning checklists, temp logs, prep lists, and other safety-related
16. tasks
17. Create and manage weekly schedules
18. Meet regularly with the General Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure alignment

Requirements:
25. Prior kitchen leadership experience preferred
26. Ability to lead and inspire a team
27. Strong organizational and communication skills
28. Driver’s license preferred
29. Availability for day and evening shifts
