About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Surveyor to manage and optimise a diverse property investment portfolio, including retail, leisure, office, industrial, and some residential assets. This is a hands-on role with both operational and strategic responsibilities, supporting the development of a new asset management framework while driving performance, compliance, and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of a varied commercial property portfolio.
* Conduct property inspections and valuations to assess condition and asset performance.
* Manage rent collection, lease events (renewals, expiries, lettings), and landlord/tenant matters.
* Ensure property management activities meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
* Identify service gaps, process improvements, and opportunities to maximise occupancy and income.
* Support budget monitoring, income forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Prepare clear, high-quality reports and analysis for stakeholders.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of new asset management structures and processes.
* Collaborate with subsidiary businesses to turn strategic property ambitions into deliverable plans.
* Act as subject matter expert, representing the organisation internally and externally.
* Provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure delivery of key objectives.
About You
* Strong background in commercial property management and asset optimisation.
* Experience across retail, leisure, office, and industrial property portfolios.
* Proven ability in lease management, rent collection, and landlord/tenant matters.
* Skilled in budget monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting.
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in property management.
* Ability to deliver strategic initiatives alongside day-to-day operations.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Comfortable leading teams and working with external advisors/partners.
