Formagrind Ltd manufactures high precision mechanical components and assemblies for customers across industry sectors such as scientific instrumentation, aerospace & avionics, defence, semiconductor, automotive/F1, and much more. We operate state of the art CNC machinery, and produce very intricate, high-precision components.
We are looking for a CNC Milling Engineer with a positive, proactive approach who can work to rapidly changing requirements under extremely tight timescales.
About the candidate;
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Milling machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Run and operate Hurco VMC
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- In-process inspection and monitoring of parts to ensure accuracy and quality
- Liaise with team members to achieve delivery targets
Skills
- Proficiency in basic mathematics
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of Hurco machines (advantageous, but training can be provided)
- Competence in using measurement hand tools for adjustments and maintenance
Job Type: Full time
Salary: £ negotiable depending on skills & experience
Schedule: Day shift, 39 hours Monday to Friday (7am-3:15pm Monday-Thursday, 7am-2pm Friday)
