We are looking for a compassionate person with good communication skills to provide care and assistance to persons in their own home in accordance with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council Standards of Conduct and Practice 2015. Recording information including observations, and any incidents or changes in the individual's condition.
Responsibilities
* Tasks may include: Personal Care.
* Assisting with showering, dressing, toileting and getting ready.
* Mobility Support.
* Helping individuals move around their homes safely, transferring them from bed to chair, and providing support with walking.
* Meal Preparation.
* Preparing meals according to dietary requirements and assisting with feeding if needed.
* Medication Management.
* Prompting or assisting with medication administration, collecting prescriptions, and reporting any concerns.
* Companionship.
* Providing social interaction and emotional support, engaging in conversations, and participating in activities.Household Tasks.
* Assisting with light housekeeping, laundry, and other tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Attending Appointments.
* Accompanying individuals to medical appointments, social outings, and other engagements.
* Monitoring Health.
* Observing and reporting any changes in an individual's physical or mental health.
* Emotional Support.
* Offering a listening ear, providing encouragement, and promoting positive mental well-being.
* Maintaining Records.
Skills and Qualifications
* Must be a caring and compassionate person with access to a car for business purposes
* Experience in a caring environment and or a health and social care qualification is desired but not essential
