Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council to recruit Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join their Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team within Children’s Social Care.

Oxfordshire is committed to delivering inclusive, child-centred, and strengths-based services that support children with disabilities and their families to thrive. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team focused on improving outcomes for children with complex needs through high-quality statutory and relational social work.

The Role
As a Social Worker / Senior Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities Team, you will:
Work with children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, supporting them and their families through assessment and planning.
Complete high-quality assessments under Children Act 1989, including child in need and safeguarding assessments where required.
Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans, including short breaks and care packages.
Manage a varied caseload, ensuring children’s voices are central to all decision-making.
Work collaboratively with health, education, and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated support.
Prepare clear, analytical reports for reviews, panels, and court where necessary.
For Senior Social Workers: provide professional guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues managing complex cases.

About You
You will be a committed and compassionate practitioner with:
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
Post-qualifying experience within Children’s Social Care, ideally including Children with Disabilities or complex needs services.
Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
Confidence working within multi-agency frameworks across health, education, and social care.
A child-centred, inclusive, and relationship-based approach to practice.
For Senior Social Worker roles: experience supporting practice development and managing more complex work.

Why Oxfordshire County Council?
A well-established authority with a strong commitment to inclusive practice and early support.
Supportive leadership and a culture of reflective supervision.
Manageable caseloads with a clear focus on quality and outcomes.
Excellent training, development, and career progression opportunities.
Hybrid working arrangements supporting work–life balance.
A service that values professional judgement, collaboration, and staff wellbeing
