STSUK are looking for a Trainee Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our growing team. You dont need experience in refrigeration or AC we will teach you everything you need to know. What matters is your attitude, your work ethic, and your willingness to learn. You might currently be working in electrical, plumbing, joinery, construction, or general building services and want to specialise in a respected engineering discipline with real long-term prospects. This is a fast-track opportunity where the right person will be mentored by experienced engineers and supported directly by the Managing Director as they develop into a fully competent installation engineer. The Opportunity This role is designed for someone who wants more than just a job. You will work alongside experienced engineers installing refrigeration and air conditioning systems across a wide range of commercial environments. Over time you will learn how to: Assist with refrigeration and air conditioning installations Work safely and professionally on site Deliver high-quality installations with minimal disruption to customers Use digital job systems and complete site documentation Develop technical knowledge across refrigeration and AC systems Progress towards becoming a fully qualified installation engineer We expect our people to learn quickly, take responsibility and take pride in their work. In return we invest heavily in their development. What Were Looking For This role suits someone practical and reliable who enjoys hands-on work. You might currently be working as a: Electrical mate Plumbing assistant Joiner Construction worker Mechanical or building services operative General tradesperson You will need: Practical hands-on experience in a trade or construction environment Confidence working on sites and from ladders or at height Good organisation and timekeeping Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Full UK driving licence It would be helpful (but not essential) if you also have: 18th Edition electrical qualification CSCS card or site safety qualification Exposure to HVAC, refrigeration or air conditioning Basic IT skills for using mobile job systems What matters most is that you are dependable, curious and proud of doing a job properly.
