Role Description

Position: Quality Assurance Manager (Part-Time) 16.5H per week

Location: Remote, with travel to centres across the UK as required

Shift and Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Rate of pay: £17.50 per hour

Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will primarily work remotely but must be willing to travel to our UK centres when necessary. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting audits and inspections, and analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with delivery staff to support professional development and ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also collaborate across departments to resolve quality-related issues, deliver training on quality procedures, and report key quality metrics to senior management.


Responsibilities

* Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
* Conduct audits and inspections
* Analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement
* Support professional development of delivery staff and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
* Collaborate across departments to resolve quality-related issues
* Deliver training on quality procedures
* Report key quality metrics to senior management


Qualifications & Experience

* Experience with developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures
* Proficiency in conducting audits and inspections
* Experience of management of the curriculum and assessments
* Strong analytical skills to analyse data and identify areas of improvement
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance in further education
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to train staff on quality procedures and best practices
* Previous experience in a quality assurance role is necessary
* Certification in Quality Management, IQA L4 or related disciplines is necessary

The Role of all Staff to Keeping Vulnerable People Safe

* All staff will understand KCSIE 2025, and those relating to other daily duties.
* All staff undertake appropriate safeguarding training including online safety and prevent, and annually upkeep this knowledge, in addition all staff should receive child protection training, although Thrive do not work directly with children this is to ensure staff are well equipped to help support and signpost families
* All staff understand their responsibility to ensuring a safe learning environment
* All staff understand who their DSL or DDSL is and how to report a concern
* All staff are aware of the signs and indicators of abuse and understand that students can be at risk of this at home or online
* All staff understand and confidently exercise professional curiosity to ensure help can be offered early
* All staff and especially the DSL/DDSL understand contextualised safeguarding and the variety of risks from different forms of abuse and exploitation
* Staff are aware that technology is a significant component to many safeguarding concerns and that students are at risk from abuse and other risks whilst online
* All staff understand what to do if a safeguarding disclosure is raised and the appropriate level of confidentiality
* All staff understand how to reassure victims that they are being taken seriously and supported
* Staff understand the whistleblowing procedure and how to report concerns about staff behaviours
