Our customers are at the heart of what we do, and our Support Services team play a crucial role ensuring our global customer base receive a speedy and professional response to technical issues and incidents. We have a brand new position for a Change & Release Manager to take accountability of full lifecycle engagement. You will support the business and our customers, ensuring all change activity is delivered in an effective and efficient way and best practice processes are implemented and followed.
You will work collaboratively with Incident, Problem, Service Delivery Managers, Software Engineers and Project Managers to deliver and maintain a robust Change and Release management function; coordinate changes, configurations and release functions across our full product portfolio.
What you will be doing:
5. Take accountability for the Microlise change/release management process
6. Plan and coordinate the rollout of service changes and releases, ensuring pre and post deployment activities are complete
7. Ensure that the integrity of live customer systems is protected and that the correct components are released
8. Chair and participate in weekly Change Advisory Boards (CABs)
9. Monitor open and pending tasks and drive progress of changes to completion
10. Implement and maintain Configuration Management Database (CMDB) as part of the Configuration Management System (CMS)
11. Support the operational management of all types of Change and Release requests
12. Coordinate and prioritise Change Management process to achieve targets and expectations: customer satisfaction, KPIs, SLA, OLAs
13. Provide communication and information, including relevant release information to customers and stakeholders, ensuring they have a full understanding of the change process
14. Provide presentations on Change Management for CAB and for ISO Audits
15. Work towards a 100% change implementation success rate and change submission/logging rate
16. Ensure post implementations reviews are completed and corrective actions are provided, where applicable
17. Developing good procedures and training documentation to support, as well as improve, the change process ensuring changes are implemented within agreed timescales
18. Monitor compliance and ensure the processes and procedures are being adhered to ensure operating processes are defined, efficient and complied with for any execution of work
19. Create knowledge base information where appropriate
20. Identify changes which are candidates for service release
21. Provide an escalation point for stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
22. Previous experience in a change, configuration and release management role within the technology sector
23. Strong Service Operations experience
24. Demonstrable experience developing and delivering change management strategies
25. Good technical understanding and able to grasp complex problems and develop appropriate solutions
26. Able to work collaboratively towards a shared vision
27. High level of IT technical competence, including MS applications such as Excel
28. Confident communicator, both verbal and written, and proficient in report writing
It would be favourable if you have:
29. ITIL Release control and validation
30. Service Now Knowledge
31. Understanding of SQL
32. Auditing experience
