Position Details
* Role: HGV Class 2 Drainage Engineer
* Location: Crawley Depot, West Sussex
* Type: Permanent, Full-time
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours/week
* Salary: £37,000 per annum

About The Role
Working on the Southern Water contract, your responsibilities include:
1. Traveling via HGV in two-person teams to residential sites, using high-pressure water jets for restoration
2. Cleaning, clearing, and maintaining drainage systems
3. Recording job reports accurately
4. Running diagnostics and repairs on drains
5. Providing excellent customer service
6. Maintaining health and safety standards
7. Replenishing vehicle stock
8. Using VISTEC and Salesforce platforms
9. Operating JHL vacuum tankers and equipment
10. Accessing sites safely and performing manual handling tasks
11. Working unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing PPE or using lone worker systems
12. Assessing risks and liaising with clients
13. Supporting colleagues and inspecting tools and equipment
14. Reporting defects and conducting risk assessments
15. Adhering to company policies and completing ad-hoc tasks as required
About You
The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and adheres to safety standards. Experience with high-pressure jetting is beneficial but not essential. Drainage qualifications like NRSWA and Confined Spaces are advantageous.
You must hold a minimum of a HGV Class 2 license, CPC certification, and an up-to-date digi tachograph card.
