Job Description
MCS Group is working exclusively with a fast-scaling technology company in their search for a Software Engineering Team Lead. With significant investment onboard, our client is properly in scale up mode and plan to double their headcount by the end of this year. This Software Engineering Team Lead is a newly created role within the business, and will offer a strong technical lead huge amounts of career progression, along with the chance to learn new technologies and contribute to a scaling SaaS product. Still very much an individual contributor (I'd see this as an 80/20 split between IC and leadership/management), you'll play a key part in this company's growth at a really exciting time for the business.
The Role
* The Technical Team Lead will design and review system architecture and create technical solutions.
* You'll write and maintain high-quality, scalable code.
* You'll guide your small, but growing team in best practices and technical decisions.
* You'll support CI/CD, deployment processes, and production stability.
* You'll break down work, assign tasks, and track progress.
* You'll be passionate about removing blockers and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
* Mentor and support team members' growth and performance and get involved in recruiting and onboarding as the engineering function grows.
Our client tech stack includes the following: PHP (Symfony), Angular, Typescript, AWS - brilliant if you have experience in working with these, but no issues if not. Our client's engineering team is made up of some brilliant software engineers already - and an ability to problem solve and work things out is the concurrent theme across the team today. Salary
Circa £85,000 with package which includes share options and private medical.
