About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Food Technical and Quality Coordinator to support the technical and quality functions within our food production operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of food safety, legality, and quality, while maintaining compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will work closely with production, supply chain, and external stakeholders to maintain quality systems, manage documentation, support audits, and drive continuous improvement within the technical function. Key Responsibilities Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Ensure compliance with relevant food safety standards such as BRCGS, HACCP, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain and update technical documentation including specifications, procedures, risk assessments, and records. Coordinate internal audits and assist with external audits from customers, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities. Manage supplier documentation and ensure raw materials meet technical and safety requirements. Assist with product launches by coordinating technical approvals, specifications, and compliance checks. Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions. Monitor quality performance metrics and prepare technical reports as required. Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved. Support training and awareness of food safety and quality procedures across the business. Requirements Degree or relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline. Experience in a food manufacturing technical or quality role is desirable. Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards such as BRCGS. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing technical documentation. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Desirable Internal auditing qualification. Experience with retailer standards or customer technical requirements. Knowledge of allergen management and food labelling regulations.
