Care Assistant for a person 32 hr/wk@ £12.85/hr in BS16 - FTE - £25.1k
A caring and reliable Personal Assistant / Carer is required to support with daily living tasks for a sight‑impaired individual. Previous experience supporting someone with visual impairment is preferred but not essential, as the right attitude, patience, and willingness to provide compassionate support are equally important. Hours:
* 32 hours per week
* Monday to Friday
* Preferred hours are 9:00am – 3:00pm, however some flexibility is required to accommodate appointments
* Hours may be split between two Personal Assistants
* Pay rate £12.85 for employed or £15.94 self‑employed.
Key Responsibilities
* Support with general domestic tasks
* Light cleaning and household upkeep
* Taking recycling and rubbish out
* Assistance with admin and paperwork
* Support to access the community
* Accompanying to hospital and GP appointments
* Meal preparation
* Domestic care
* Social + leisure activities
* Support to remain independent
Essential Requirements
* Car driver essential
* DBS check required, or willingness to complete one
* Must be comfortable working in an environment where the client smokes outside
