Your focus will be on ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, scalable and high-performing, while driving forward modernisation initiatives aligned to our architecture roadmap. You’ll collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Team Lead, Head of Tech Operations and wider technology stakeholders, acting as a senior escalation point and contributing to best-in-class infrastructure standards across the business. Role Key Responsibilities ✨ Infrastructure Strategy & Standards Contribute to the definition of infrastructure principles and technical standards Ensure solutions align to architectural direction and long-term scalability Evaluate emerging technologies to support future capability ✨Project Delivery & Modernisation Lead or contribute to enterprise-scale infrastructure projects Design and implement secure, resilient solutions Drive documentation and best practice across the environment Support ongoing infrastructure transformation initiatives ✨Operational Excellence Act as a senior escalation point for complex 2nd/3rd line issues Support network, server, identity and virtualisation environments Maintain system performance, availability and security Participate in an on-call rota ✨ Technical Leadership Mentor and support junior engineers Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing Create alignment across technical stakeholders About You ✨What We’re Looking For Firewall expertise and core routing/switching (Junos Cli, Juniper, OSPF, BGP, VLANs). Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects. Windows Server & End User Computing. Identity & Access Management (AD, Entra and Okta). Virtualisation (VMware & GCP). EDM/MDM (Intune, SCCM and IRU). Backup solutions (VMware backup products eg. Veeam, IDPA). PowerShell scripting and API experience. Strong understanding of IT best practice Driving license required ✨Desirable Terraform, Linux administration, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Cisco Meraki, Google Workspace.
