Our client, a prominent entity in the defence sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Mechanical - HVAC to join their team in Scotstoun on a 12-month contract basis. This role focuses on providing HVAC engineering expertise within the maritime environment, particularly in the development and maintenance of naval ships. Hybrid working arrangements are available, with 1-2 days per week required on-site. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement HVAC systems for naval ships. Provide support and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure systems meet required industry and safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVAC systems into naval vessels. Conduct performance assessments and provide recommendations for improvements. Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation. Participate in lifecycle management reviews and risk assessments. Maintain awareness of industry developments and integrate best practices. Job Requirements: Experience as an HVAC Engineer within the defence or maritime industry. Understanding of marine engineering systems and the integration of HVAC systems in naval ships. Degree in engineering or a related discipline (preferred). Meet requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer with a relevant Professional Body. Proficiency in shipbuilding operations, processes, and modern build strategies. Knowledge of processes and tools used in marine engineering. Commercial awareness and understanding of the external market and industry advancements. In-depth knowledge of HVAC applications in the maritime environment.
