Position summary
As a Quality Systems Engineer (QSE) you will be accountable for managing, maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it's always audit:ready, and supporting the business.
Additionally, the QSE will lead internal and external audits, pinpointing areas for improvement and making sure corrective actions are followed through. The role involves working closely with the Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality is upheld at every stage of manufacturing.
DFS being certified to several different standards, including ISO9001, ATEX, MID, UL, the engineer will liaise and co:operate with external notification bodies ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
In addition, the QSE will support our customer audits, and pursue any new certifications needed as per the business needs.
As the Quality system Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Oversee effective implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System throughout the company

Maintain the Quality Manual.

Ensure training and compliance to quality system procedures throughout the organization.

Work with cross:functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.) to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.

Participate in multi discipline teams to address quality system improvements, aligned to the achievement of company objectives.

Support risk management and change control activities.

Monitor and report on quality system metrics (e.g., nonconformities, audit findings, CAPA status).

Maintain and execute the internal and external audit program

Act as the main point of contact for all QMS related topics within the Dundee factory

Maintain the correct accountability regarding the certifications across the departments in the organization

Maintain and monitor all non:conformances ensuring effective remedial, corrective, and preventative actions are taken in a timely manner, escalate as required.
