Private Sector Housing Technician (P01273) Starting salary £34,431pa with progression to £41,254pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service 37 hours per week (hybrid working) We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Private Sector Housing Team. The team delivers a high-quality customer-focussed service that covers a wide variety of activities related to the repair, renovation, and improvement of the private rented housing stock in the Borough. The ideal candidate will be expected to deal with all aspects of private sector housing, including Disrepair, Disabled Facilities Grants, minimum standards in rented accommodation, houses in multiple occupation, energy efficiency, and empty homes. It is essential you have experience of working in a regulatory or procedural role. If you enjoy collaborating with people and making a difference to people’s homes and are interested in a job that is varied in what skills are used, provides opportunities to gain experience and makes you feel valued, then this is the role for you. We are looking for a strong team player who has excellent written and verbal communication skills and can communicate with a wide range of audiences. The post holder must be able to undertake site inspections and have the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business including occasional working outside core business hours as required. The post holder will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken and written English is essential in this post.
