We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and the ability to handle materials efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Accurately pick and pack products according to order specifications.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required, adhering to safety protocols.
* Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that materials are stored correctly and efficiently.
* Utilise the warehouse management system for tracking inventory levels and processing orders.
* Conduct quality control checks on products before packing to ensure they meet company standards.
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
* Perform heavy lifting as necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
* Collaborate with team members to improve packing processes and warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in picking and packing roles.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety procedures.
* Experience operating forklifts is advantageous; certification may be required.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems is beneficial for efficient inventory tracking.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with minor equipment maintenance when needed.
* Ability to perform quality control checks effectively, ensuring high standards are maintained.
