Role Overview: As the Head of Technical for our Seafood cluster, you will oversee food safety, legality, and quality within our Seafood operations. Acting as a key link between Operations, the Technical Director, and the broader Technical/NPD department, you will enhance technical expertise and ensure the achievement of food safety goals. You will also serve as the primary technical contact with customers and industry authorities.

Key Accountabilities
1. Lead the Cluster with integrity, judgment, and a values-driven approach.
2. Develop and lead the Technical team across the Seafood estate.
3. Drive a culture of Food Safety & Quality in collaboration with the Seafood Leadership team.
4. Ensure strong performance in customer and certification audits.
5. Develop KPIs to monitor and improve departmental performance and service quality.
6. Align strategies with customer expectations and develop strong relationships.
7. Serve as a trusted advisor on Food Safety, Quality, and Technical matters.
8. Apply financial rigor to Technical activities for value optimization.
9. Standardize systems and processes across the cluster.
10. Ensure continual improvement in food safety, legality, and quality.
11. Conduct supplier audits and promote a culture of compliance.
12. Maintain relationships with key customers and industry contacts.

Skills and Experience
* Graduate with Level 4 Food Hygiene and Advanced HACCP qualifications.
* At least 5 years of senior technical leadership in FMCG, with experience in audits.
* Experience in Seafood processing preferred; experience in chilled/frozen coated products is also valued.
* Proven experience working with UK major retailers on own label and branded products.
* Knowledge of food safety legislation relevant to manufacturing, packing, and exporting.
* Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills at an executive level.
* Experience managing multi-site/multi-country organizations.
* Leadership in retailer and third-party certification audits.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
