Venn Group is delighted to be recruiting for a Headteacher’s Personal Assistant to join a prestigious independent school on a temporary basis.
This is a unique opportunity to provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the Headteacher, ensuring the smooth running of the school office and related functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in diary management, admissions, recruitment, and operational liaison across departments.
Please note - an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for the Headteacher and school, managing calls, visitors, and correspondence
* Provide comprehensive administrative support, including diary management and termly calendar preparation
* Oversee admissions processes, maintain statutory registers, and liaise with parents
* Coordinate with internal teams and external providers for events, catering, and facilities
* Manage office systems, records, and petty cash, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and school policies
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in a high-level administrative role within a sensitive, busy environment
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
* Flexible approach, with willingness to support occasional evening or weekend events
