Technical Solutions Engineer – Electronic & Electrical

Domin is looking for an electronics or electrical engineer who enjoys understanding how real systems work and helping customers apply advanced technology successfully.
As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will work directly with customer engineering teams to understand their control architectures, electrical systems, and integration constraints. Your role is to help customers determine how Domin technology can be successfully integrated into their systems and to shape technically credible solutions that unlock real performance improvements.
You will lead discussions around electronics, control, and system integration, helping customers understand how Domin products interface with their electrical and control environments. This means asking probing technical questions, clarifying requirements, and guiding customers toward solutions that are both technically sound and commercially viable.
Working closely with our Sales team, you will support major opportunities with strategically important customers and play a key role in helping Domin win new programmes. Internally, you will collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure that commitments made during the sales process translate into clear and achievable engineering work.
The role sits within Domin’s Electronics team, allowing you to remain connected to cutting‑edge product development while applying your expertise to real-world applications. You will also bring valuable customer insight back into the technology organisation, helping the company better understand how our products are used in the field.
This role suits engineers who enjoy solving complex system problems, communicating technical ideas clearly, and working directly with customers to turn engineering capability into successful real‑world solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical engagement in sales opportunities
o Lead electronics and control‑related technical discussions with customer engineering teams to understand system requirements, constraints, and performance objectives.
o Develop technically credible application solutions using Domin’s products.
o Work with the Sales team to translate technical solutions into viable commercial proposals, including RFQs where electrical, electronic, or control integration understanding is required.
* Application definition and solution development
o Analyse customer applications to determine suitability of Domin’s off‑the‑shelf products.
o Identify where product modification, engineering work, or system changes may be required.
o Propose integration approaches covering control architecture, electrical integration, and operational considerations.
* Bridging sales and engineering
o Translate customer requirements into clear engineering scope when development work is required to secure a deal.
o Ensure technical commitments made during the sales process are realistic and understood by the Technology teams.
* Customer technical support
o Provide rapid and effective technical support for customer questions related to integration, control, or system operation.
o Support customers during evaluation, prototyping, and early deployment phases.
* Electronics team contribution
o Remain aligned with the Electronics team and contribute to capability development within the discipline.
o Support product improvement, application knowledge development, and technology exploration when not engaged on active sales opportunities.
* Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
* Approximately 3–7 years of experience in an electronics or electrical engineering role.
* Strong electronics or electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to reason from first principles.
* Demonstrated ability to solve real engineering problems and translate requirements into practical solutions.
* Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both engineers and non‑engineers.
* Confidence participating in technical discussions with external stakeholders and willingness to grow into leading them.
* High levels of personal ownership, curiosity, and motivation to learn new technologies and applications.
* Ability to work across engineering and commercial teams to achieve outcomes.
* Alignment with Domin’s culture of action, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Beneficial Requirements:
* Experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or customer‑facing engineering roles.
* Experience with embedded electronics, control systems, or mechatronic products.
* Experience supporting RFQs or technical proposals.
* Experience integrating components into larger electrical or control systems.
* Experience working in high‑performance engineering sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing.
