We have two large production facilities located in Braeside and 17 retail outlets (around Melbourne), with a reputation built on quality and innovation. The business is dynamic and continues to grow at speed.
As the Quality Assurance Officer, you will support the efficiency and effectiveness of the production facility. The Quality Officer is responsible for maintaining databases of documents, forms and processes together with quality control systems, continuous improvement registers and other organizationally required documents and systems.
Responsible for helping with trouble shooting and providing food safety advice to the production team to ensure product standards are within the confines of customer requirements as well as adhering to the established food safety standards.
The key responsibilities will include:
To ensure that the manufacturing site maintains their globally recognised Food Safety and Quality System Accreditations, and any customer specific manufacturing standards.
Performing Product Quality Checks
Performance of Critical Control Point (CCP) and Quality Control Point (QCP) checks.
Coordinating quality system documentation and records
Ensure all calibration activities are complete
Maintaining Factory GMP and Hygiene.
Creating Standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Maintaining product specifications.
Conduct Food Safety and GMP training for production staff.
Qualifications
· Bachelor of Applied Science in Food Science and Technology or equivalent.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in quality assurance is required.
· Baking or bread/pastry production knowledge is desirable.
