To provide a professional and efficient reception service by welcoming visitors, managing a busy telephone switchboard, and delivering high levels of customer service. To support general administrative tasks and ensure smooth day-to-day front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally. Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage visitor sign-in/sign-out and issue security passes where required. Receive and distribute post and deliveries, notifying recipients promptly. Maintain accurate records including visitor logs, internal phone lists, and car registrations. Liaise with internal teams to support daily operations and room bookings. Book taxis, meeting rooms, and test rooms when required. Assist with contractors and maintain relevant logs. Keep the reception area tidy, safe, and well organised. Support emergency procedures and act as a Fire Warden when trained. Provide general administrative support and assist with ad hoc duties. Work flexibly when required, including holiday cover. Follow all company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements. Support wider group operations and work collaboratively across departments Knowledge GCSE-level English and Maths or equivalent. First aid or fire marshal training desirable but not essential. Experience Previous receptionist or front-of-house experience preferred. Experience operating a busy switchboard desirable. Rental industry experience advantageous but not essential. Skills & Attributes Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel. High attention to detail with a proactive, can-do attitude. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams. Flexible, adaptable, and self-motivated.
