Essex County Council is advertising on behalf of North Herts Council for the role of Shared Service Manager - Waste | North Herts Council
The Role
East and North Herts Councils have a new shared waste, recycling, and street cleansing contract in place and are implementing an ambitious service change this summer. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a waste professional to lead the service at this pivotal time, overseeing waste, recycling, and street cleansing services for both Councils.
The Experience You Will Bring
You will be an experienced waste leader with significant experience managing large contracts and budgets. You should have a proven track record in leading major projects and procurements, developing policies and strategies, and successful performance management. Technical expertise in waste management is essential. You should also possess strong leadership skills to motivate a high-performing team, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
