Job Description
As Interim Systems Accountant / Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
* Working on the upgrade of the current Sage system, ensuring the accounts structure is set-up properly in the new system
* Closing down the old system and transferring the balances into the new system
* Working closely with the IT team and Project Manager through the Upgrade project
* Providing ad-hoc cover for the Financial Controller position which will involve leading the finance team through the year-end period as well as the preparation of the monthly management accounts
This is a 4 month role initially and requires at least 4 days per week on site in the office in West Kent.
The Successful Applicant
My client is looking for a Qualified / Qualified by Experience Accountant that is able to demonstrate strong experience of leading systems upgrades in their career to date. Experience of Sage would be useful but is not essential.
Experience of working as a Financial Controller / Director and having hands-on involvement in the preparation of the statutory and management accounts production is also a pre-requisite.
This role is due to start ideally at the beginning of June (although a later start date up until Mid June would be possible). You must be able to commit to the full 4 months and be happy to travel to site 4 days per week.
Experience within education or the charity sector would be useful.
