The role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will enable the Production Engineers to provide continuous production on site by maintaining the machinery in the work shop.
Day to day, you'll:
* Manage breakdowns and planned servicing, installation and commissioning of plant and equipment
* Carry out general day to day maintenance activities
* Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and fluid drawings
* React to plant facilities breakdowns (both mechanical and electrical), locating the fault, analysing the issue, and completing the fix in a timely manner to keep operation downtime to a minimum
* Be required to keep accurate records such as work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores, etc
This role is full time working thirty-six hours per week on a shift pattern and will be based onsite at Ashton House.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Engineer:
* Experience of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience in a multi skilled maintenance role in electrical, mechanical and facilities maintenance
* Being proactive in risk management strategies to ensure business continuity
* Excellent interpersonal and problem skills
* Experience in working with CNC and manual machinery
Qualifications for the Maintenance Engineer:
* BTEC level 3 or equivalent in engineering
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
