Trainee HGV Technician Taunton
Salary: £40,000 + Performance Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
Location: Taunton
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Trainee HGV Technician to join our friendly workshop team in Taunton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for mechanics or engineering who is ready to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry.
You will receive full training and mentoring from experienced HGV Technicians, gaining the skills and qualifications needed to maintain and repair a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Assist senior technicians with inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Learn to carry out diagnostic checks using modern tools and equipment
Support with general workshop duties, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
Attend manufacturer and in-house training sessions to progress your technical knowledge
What Were Looking For
A genuine interest in vehicle mechanics or engineering
Basic mechanical knowledge or experience (e.g. cars, plant, or agricultural machinery preferred)
Enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to learn
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence training can be provided)
Whats on Offer
