We are seeking a passionate Personal Advisor to join our North team based in Ollerton. This role is for4 days a week (30 hours) and will last for up to two years due to the current postholder being on secondment. You will work with care leavers aged 16 to 21, providing essential support as they navigate their journey into adulthood. Your work will cover areas including Worksop, Retford, Ollerton, and Newark, and may extend to young people across the county and beyond, including some asylum-seeking young people. As a Personal Advisor, your key responsibilities will include: Managing a caseload of young people, offering tailored support and guidance. Advocating for young people's needs and negotiating with other agencies to ensure they receive the necessary services. Assisting care leavers in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities. Building positive, sustainable relationships with a diverse group of young people. Supporting young people in developing the emotional resilience and skills needed for independence. To succeed in this role, you will need: A minimum of GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English. A full driving licence (unless disability precludes this). Experience of working with young people aged 16-21 Knowledge of legislation and guidance related to young people leaving care, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004. Strong communication skills to engage effectively with young people and other professionals. The ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team.
