CWPS is looking for a specialist dissector to join our busy and experienced dissection team.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the management team to deliver a safe, efficient and quality‑driven service to patients.
* Perform, allocate and supervise tasks required for the delivery of a fit for purpose medical laboratory service.
* Analyse and select clinical samples to provide a diagnostic service for efficient and effective patient care.
* Understand the limits of practice and forward cases to pathologists or specialist scientific leads when appropriate.
* Oversee the successful installation of new equipment across the department.
* Lead on improvement projects to further develop the service.
* Provide training in D and E specimen categories when working towards the Advanced Specialist diploma.
Locations
UHCW and South Warwick Hospital sites.
Senior Dissection BMS
Requirements: HCPC registration, at least band 6 experience in dissection, and IBMS DEP for dissection. Salary: AFC band 7.
Trainee Dissection BMS
Requirements: HCPC registration, band 6 experience in dissection, not yet holding IBMS DEP for dissection. Salary: AFC band 6.
Application Requirements
Interviews will take place week commencing 27/04/2026. Successful applicants must provide an immunisation and vaccination report from their current UK occupational health provider or UK GP.
