About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team. In this role, you'll turn complex data into clear insights that guide strategy, shape product decisions, and enhance the member experience. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover opportunities, measure impact, and drive growth through data-led decision making.
Responsibilities
* Generate actionable insights on member retention, churn, engagement, and lifetime value to identify opportunities for improving the customer journey.
* Translate findings into clear recommendations that influence product, marketing, and business decisions.
* Evaluate and prioritise analytics requests, focusing on projects with the greatest strategic impact.
* Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure accurate event tracking, data capture, and measurement of new features.
* Use SQL, dbt, and other tools to extract, model, and validate data from multiple sources.
* Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments and A/B tests, ensuring statistical rigour and reliable conclusions.
* Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated analytics processes that make insights easily accessible to stakeholders.
* Present complex data and findings in clear, visual formats that communicate key messages and support informed decisions.
* Collaborate across teams to promote a culture of evidence-based decision making and challenge assumptions with objective analysis.
* Mentor and support other analysts and team members, sharing best practices in SQL, experimentation, and data storytelling.
* Drive improvements in data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the business.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in product, customer, or member analytics, ideally within SaaS, subscription, marketplace, or platform-based businesses.
* Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with data transformation or modelling tools such as dbt.
* Strong understanding of statistics and experimentation methods, including hypothesis design and regression analysis.
* Experience using BI and visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Mode.
* Knowledge of event tracking tools and customer data platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment).
* Excellent communication and data storytelling skills with the ability to influence non-technical audiences.
* A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to work independently and balance short-term delivery with long-term goals.
Nice to Have
* Experience using Python or R for analytics or automation.
* Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
* Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment.
